As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local causes, Hive Projects team members gathered for a day of volunteering at Manchester Youth Zone. Our volunteers joined forces with the Youth Zone staff to help out with the summer holiday club experience for children in the North Manchester area. The day saw a diverse range of activities, including arts and crafts sessions, cookery classes, physical education, and sports activities, all aimed at providing a dynamic and engaging environment for the young participants.

The collaboration between Hive Projects and Manchester Youth Zone showcased the power of partnership in fostering positive social value. Our volunteers brought their skills and energy to the table, creating an atmosphere of learning, fun, and growth for the children attending the summer holiday club. The day was an opportunity for the children to engage, build new friendships, and explore various activities that contribute to their personal development.

“It was an incredible experience to see the kids light up as they participated in the different activities we organised, We’re looking forward to engaging on a number of other volunteer opportunities, as well as fundraising, over the rest of this year.” shared Kelly Godfrey, Hive’s Social Value and Sustainability Manager.

The event also served as a platform for Hive Projects to strengthen its relationship with its charity partner, Manchester Youth Zone. The partnership highlighted the mutual dedication both organisations have toward uplifting the community, and creating a lasting impact on the lives of young individuals in Noth Manchester.
