Social Value and Sustainability

Our commitment towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

>>  Our approaches

Hive Projects takes a holistic approach to social value in business, placing it at the core of our client relationships and project delivery. We believe our work has the power to create positive change and contribute to the well-being of communities.

We strive to understand our client’s values, goals, and aspirations, aligning our efforts to incorporate social value into every project and relationship we undertake. We work collaboratively with our clients to identify opportunities for social value integration, whether promoting local employment, supporting community initiatives, or implementing sustainable practices.

We aim to go beyond traditional project objectives and deliver outcomes that leave a lasting and positive impact on society.

Through close engagement with stakeholders, transparent communication, and best practices, we ensure social value remains a key consideration throughout the project lifecycle. By embracing social value, we deliver exceptional project outcomes and contribute to the betterment of the communities we operate within, leaving a legacy of social value.

Goal 5 – Gender Equality

We aim to achieve a 50/50 gender split within our team, whilst working to promote, develop and partner with organisations to help women gain employment. It’s important to us that we ensure we make development and progression opportunities accessible, realistic and achievable for our female colleagues.

Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth

Our recruitment process is carried out with diversity, equality and inclusion at the forefront.  We are advocates for promoting alternative education and employment pathways that support professionals from underrepresented groups through recruitment processes.

Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities

We work closely with Local Authorities to support the UK’s efforts to increase affordable housing. By being involved with housing, we aim to improve the economic outlook and physical and mental health standards of communities.

>>

Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production

We have committed to running a paper-free office and reducing our waste through social values initiatives. Our team is encouraged to consider how they can minimise their impact towards the climate crisis, and are supported to use green travel options.

Goal 13 – Climate Action

Through collaboration with the public sector, Local Authorities, and private sector, we’ve developed a joined-up approach to negating climate change and its associated implications. Our aim is to embed climate change measures into policies, strategies and planning of our scope of work to make a difference.
