We are proud to announce that the contract has now been executed for the delivery of a new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) at Halton General Hospital.

This significant project, delivered by Kier Construction on behalf of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, aims to realise the NHS’s ambitions for CDC projects. The goals for this initiative include:

  • Improving Population Health Outcomes: By diagnosing health conditions earlier, faster, and more accurately, we aim to enhance the overall health of the community.
  • Increasing Diagnostic Service Capacity: Investing in new facilities, equipment, and training new staff will help recover from COVID-19 impacts and reduce pressure on acute hospital sites.
  • Enhancing Productivity and Efficiency: Streamlining the provision of acute and elective diagnostic services, redesigning clinical pathways to eliminate unnecessary steps, tests, or duplication.
  • Reducing Health Inequalities: Ensuring equal access to care and health outcomes for everyone in the community.
  • Delivering Better Diagnostic Services: Providing a single point of access to a range of services in the community for a more personalised experience.
  • Supporting Joined-Up Care: Facilitating more integrated care across primary, community, and secondary care sectors.

Our role as project managers for this scheme means we now begin the hard work on site – where we look forward to seeing these ambitions come to life and making a positive impact on the health and well-being of the Halton community.
