Shaun Bretland

I’ve recently joined Hive with a primary focus on bolstering the commercial development portfolio. My role extends to providing crucial support for Quantity Surveying needs, particularly in the healthcare sector, where I am dedicated to contributing to the success of our major projects.

One of my career highlights to date is my involvement with the Eureka! Science and Discovery Centre project, a Grade II Listed building on the Wirral that underwent transformation into a Science and Discovery Centre. Collaborating with local children, we brought creative elements such as 6ft cats, climbing trees, and cuckoo trees to life. This project holds a special place in my heart as a meaningful contribution to my local community, serving as a lasting legacy for future generations, including my own children.

What I find truly rewarding about my role in the construction industry is the opportunity to work closely with people. It is the collaboration and shared dedication of individuals that drive the success of construction projects.

Having dedicated a significant portion of my career to the Liverpool City Region, and with family and friends rooted in the community, I am eager to channel my professional expertise towards projects that develop and support the vision of the LCR.
