J.R. Clynes Building

PROJECT Overview

About the Project

The J. R. Clynes Building in Oldham is a Grade II-listed building and a cornerstone of the town’s cultural heritage. Hive Projects provided project management services to Oldham Council for the remodel and refurbishment of the building, ensuring its historic features were preserved while transforming it into a modern, accessible space for community use. The project aimed to maintain architectural integrity, improve sustainability, and create flexible areas for arts, learning, and events.

This development forms part of the council’s Building a Better Oldham programme which is a long-term commitment to revitalising key sites across the borough, creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and delivering opportunities for learning and skills development.
