A unique transformational development programme for the re-imagining of the Health & Life Sciences Campus in the heart of the Liverpool City Region, supporting its aspirations to be recognized as a globally leading Top 100 Ranked university. The programme will comprise two new flagship facilities:
A new facility revolutionizing medical education and patient care through a set of state-of-the-art learning spaces next to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Through integrating cutting edge technologies, with opportunities for clinical trials, R&D and continuing CPD, a patient teach and treat model may be pursued.
Building on the university’s world leading track record in infectious diseases, pharmacology and life sciences, through re-modelling and adding additional facilities, a BIC will assist in equipping the next generation of graduates to drive vital academic industry collaboration across, emerging and future priorities such as AI, climate change, industrial biotechnology and pandemic preparedness.
Working with HILP representatives, HLS Faculty Leads, UoL Facilities, Residential and Commercial Services, HIVE Project Managers and Cost Managers played a key role in developing the initial Strategic Outline Case, engaging with stakeholders, modelling funding options, interrogating built asset information and leading a multi disciplinary design team to develop the initial design concepts for both facilities.
