About the Project

The project will be a catalyst for private sector investment and growth for the Runcorn Station Quarter area being the flagship commercial space for the town centre. The reimagined space will include:

  • A dynamic working hub
  • A mixture of flexible starter units and grow on studio accommodation
  • Larger anchor units for established businesses
  • A welcoming, public-facing café with supporting amenities that will connect with the public realm

Inspired by the successful Start Yard model in Birkenhead, this facility will prioritise community engagement, support for creative enterprise, and a design approach that reflects the character and aspirations of the local area. We are looking to work with a developer who shares this vision and is eager to help shape a unique, inclusive, and sustainable place for innovation and social connection.

  • Led the full design team appointment process, establishing clear scopes and ensuring strong coordination through regular design team meetings.

  • Supported full contractor appointment, ensuring transparency, compliance, and programme alignment.
  • Delivered disciplined cost management, reporting, and risk tracking to provide the client with full visibility of financial performance at every stage.
  • Drove collaboration across design, client, and delivery partners to maintain momentum and manage constraints effectively, ensuring the project remained viable and on target to achieve its regeneration objectives for the Runcorn Station Quarter
