This project was for the creation of a state-of-the-art Resource Base at Marple Hall School, to provide 4 class rooms, 2-multipurpose practical spaces and some one-to-one counselling / quiet spaces to assist with the SEN provision at the High School. The project also featured ground floor boys and girls changing spaces, a hygiene room and accessible WCs. The school had a severe lack of sufficient toilets for pupils on the site and therefore, this project also created a large toilet block to serve the entire school to help ease operational pressures. These were all fitted as self-contained toilet & handwash spaces to help meet the demand throughout the pupils.
The modular block is located within the grounds of Marple Hall School located towards the North of the site, between the public and school use Sports Hall & playing fields and existing school blocks.
We provided PM, QS & Employers Agent services to ensure project success, through a sophisticated programme of stakeholder engagement and leading coordination of surveys, investigations and works in a site that is used by multiple different parties.
Engagement with the DNOs were required also to bring in standalone water and electrical supplies to the isolated site.
